I have been admiring some old Chinese embroideries lately, the amazing colors and elaborate work...thrilling! www.textiletreasures.info
So one night I thought to try out some subtle visions in mind, inspired of these bold colors/textures - and could not stop stitching until it was morning..The pictures below show the result of this spontaneous stitching meditation: a cuff with stylized image of Red Lotus, petals embroidered with wool and cotton threads, lavishly beaded with hundreds of seed beads.

More and more, tiny details, feelings and thoughts evoked by random finds are the sources for inspiration...Took this photo of randomly picked fabric pieces before making the necklace- and the other one is the finished piece. The yellow spot at first photo is a paper price tag, tangled in fibers. This necklace can be worn aso as a brooch as it has secure brooch pin attached at back. Pictures below - before and after:
